Welcome to the Rietveld & Sandberg library. The collection of the library contains around 13000 books and is accessible for students and alumni of both institutes. In recent years, the library has adopted the libraries of the former museum De Paviljoens in Almere and SKOR in Amsterdam.

  2. If the book is lent out you can make a reservation — see further.

HOW TO FIND THE BOOK IN THE SHELVES?
➀ Check the sisocode of the book.
➁ Three types of codes can be found:

  1. codes starting with a letter can be found in room 006 (WAR4 f.e.)*
  2. codes with a number lower than 700 can be found in 006 (127 HAR1 f.e.)**
  3. codes with a number higher than 700 can be found in 006 (700.6 KRA 2 f.e.)**

*Letter codes refer to monographs or artist’s books. The code (f.e. WAR 4) is an abbreviation derived from the name of the artist (Warhol in this case). The number (f.e. 4) is the fourth book of this artist we have available at the library.

**The number code (f.e. 700.6 KRA 2) can be divided in three parts. ‘700.6’ stands for a specific discipline, for example philosophy, sociology or art theory. ‘KRA’ stands for the abbreviation of the authors name. ‘2’ stands for the second book by this author in the library.
