The Library Talks with Will Holder
Typographer Will Holder (born 1969 in Hatfield, GB) produces oral and printed publications with artists and musicians. He is preoccupied with conversation as model and tool for a shared set of publishing conditions whereby the roles of commissioner, author, subject, editor, printer, and typographer are improvised and shared, as opposed to assigned and predetermined.
Will Holder has been editor of F.R.DAVID, a typographical journal, dealing with the management of reading and writing in contemporary art practices. Together with Alex Waterman he has produced the publication Yes, But Is It Edible? about the work of composer Robert Ashley. His twenty year long practice was recently the subject of the exhibition Sorry! NO We Dont Do REQUESTS at Kunstverein Amsterdam and he is currently resident at KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin.
