Exxxo Reading & Writing Workshops
Exxxo: Writing & Reading workshops in the library
Exxxo is a project supported by the Student Council that aims to provide an experimental space for collective worldbuilding exercises. It is a contributive platform that collects speculative narratives about alienation, for the construction of a collective (un)hospitable planet. Starting from the backdrop of Xenofeminism, where alienation becomes a tool for collective empowerment, we invite students and teachers to three weekly meetings in the Rietveld and Sandberg Library with reading and writing sessions, lectures, sound experiments, and drawing exercises.

About Planet Exxxo: www.exxxo.org
༻ Exxxo is a hospitable planet. It moves strangely close to our planet Earth. Telescopes have managed to calculate that this planet can be reached until May 15th, 2022. Exxxo is also a platform for exo-erotism, for traces of our often downtrodden and tired but relentless relationship to ourselves, or to what is alien to us, the psyche of non-humans, the other-than-human logics, artificial cognitivo-intelligence, speculative food, and the future of work.
༻ It is a place to redefine what it takes to build a universe in which all extra-voices can be heard, and they do reach the earth!
༻ We would like to invite people to send their proposals regarding the possibilities of a planet where the body assumes its transformations, its ambivalences, its excesses, and its desires. A place where alienation is not an enemy but a tool.
༻ Constituted as a contributive website, we would like to collect texts, images, videos, poems, and stories. The proposals will present an inhabitable or uninhabitable imaginary, a collective map. They will be converted into a publication once the exoplanet will run out from the telescopic detections.
༻ You can send your content through the page ‘submit’ on exxxo.org website or by email exxxoorg@gmail.com. The data will be processed through our satellites. Help us to know which kind of authorship you want, you can stay anonymous, add a pseudo, or even use your father’s surname if you want.
༻ Come to see our shelf in the Rietveld and Sandberg Library! Some pink light bulbs will detect your presence. We ordered new books to share. The list of the books selected by use can be found here: shorturl.at/mswJ0
The project is kindly supported by Student Council and organized by Marianne Theunissen, Michał Dawid, Tom Dulou and Rietveld and Sandberg Library.
